Ive tried the latest version of the Conexant driver I could find (4.98.4.60 ) and the Windows default HD audo driver (6.0 10/29/15). Conexant SmartAudio HD Sound Card - Enable Stereo Mix - posted in Internal Hardware: I recently bought a Dell Inspiron running Windows 8 which has a Conextant SmartAudioHD sound card. Everything seems to work except the headphone jack. In the Sound settings, scroll down to the Other Sound Options section, and then click the App Volume And. You can either right-click the speaker icon in your notification area, and then select Open Sound Settings or navigate to Settings > System > Sound.
You can follow the same operation to update the audio drivers of your computer default sound card. I bit the bullet and tried the Windows 10 upgrade (from Windows 7) on my older laptop. To find these options in Windows 10, open the new Sound settings panel.
You can then follow the guide above to enable it. After this, the Stereo Mix device should appear in the list of recording devices. On the Security tab, click the Trusted Sites icon.
Check how to make Realtek HD Audio Stereo Mix feature visible. If you don’t see Stereo Mix under Recording tab in Sound window, it might be hidden in your sound card.
